History of Jand Tehsil | Jand, District Attock, Punjab

Jand Tehsil is located at the south-western part of the District ATTOCK. It’s around 100 kilometer away from Islamabad. It is border city between KPK (Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa) and Punjab Province. This partition is prominent due to Indus River, which is 5 kilometer away from the Jand City. This City is surrounded by five towns ie Pari, Dundi Jiswaal, Kundrala, Jalwaal, and Maari.


Although, most of the land is rain irrigated but apart from agricultur,Jand Thesil is luckily rich in oil and gas resources.

This area historical background is very ancient. This region contributed military services during various Afghan, Arab, Iranian, and Central Asian and British invasion. The region surrounded by historical Attock and Texila, influence on Jand was un-aviodable. This area remained very peaceful, though a varity of ethnic groups are settled here.Jats, Bahatti Rajputs, and Janjua Rajputs,Awans, Khattak and Bangash Pathan families are settled here and Jand Thehsil population is in-touch with Kohat and Attock Divisions and as well as capital Islamabad.
